Doświadczenie
Ten days circling the island in early March. Cold, but the right kind of cold — clear nights, four aurora shows, and almost no other cars on the eastern fjords. The car-and-cabin rhythm worked beautifully: drive, soak, sleep, repeat.
Gdzie nocowałam
- Deplar Farm, Troll Peninsula — Remote luxury with private heli access — a true reset.
- Hotel Húsafell — Best lava-cave access and quiet wilderness for the price.
Gdzie jadłam
- Dill, Reykjavík — Tasting menu that genuinely tells the story of the island.
- Pakkhús, Höfn — The langoustine here ruined langoustine for me everywhere else.
Ukryte perły
- Stuðlagil canyon at golden hour — Drive the east bank — far fewer people, better light.
- Hauganes hot tubs — Three wooden tubs by the sea. Bring beers.
